Colin Lingg

Colin has been with The Trail House since 2011, and likes to cycle the area as well as hike local trails. He is ready and able to share his knowledge of the outdoors and the Frederick area with anyone that has questions.

Michael Chapline

I grew up in Frederick and my love for the outdoors grew from hiking and camping in the Catoctin Mountains. I’ve been lucky to have spent years in California, Vermont, and the Adirondacks where hiking, skiing, and cycling have been a big part of my life. My career in Specialty Outdoor Retail encompasses more than 20 years….working at an outdoor store much like The Trail House in Burlington, VT, traveling the Mid Atlantic and New England as a Sales Rep, and of course here at The Trail House where we’ve served the Frederick community for more than 30 years

Clyde and Gerry Hicks

Clyde and Gerry are the owners of the Trail House. In Clyde’s free time he can be found mountain biking in the Frederick City Watershed as well as backpacking and hiking. Gerry enjoys Alpine or Nordic Skiing, backpacking, and hiking as well. An annual western ski trip is a highlight for both. Their goal is to make sure all customers enjoy shopping at the Trail House while receiving great service from our knowledgeable staff. They both enjoy meeting all our customers and hearing about their outdoor adventures.
